KENSINGTON, Pa. — Kensington Soccer Club was chosen as one of 30 recipients for the Neighborhood Equitable Recovery Fund on Sept. 23 and was rewarded with a $15,000 grant.

A partnership between the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity and the Bread & Roses Community Fund, this fund serves to "support grassroots nonprofit organizations that serve communities of color and those with low incomes, which have been hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

This grant will help KSC establish continuity of programming and care and keep both participants and residents drug-free, violence-free, and healthy.
