U19 Boys invited to participate in NSCAA Convention

We are excited to announce that our U19 boys travel team have been selected to be featured as a demo team at the 2015 NSCAA Convention on January 16th.

The National  Soccer Coaches Association of America, NSCAA, is the largest organization of soccer coaches in the world and serves members at every level or the game. From neighborhood intramural coaches to professionals applying their trade in top level leagues like La Liga in Spain and nearly continent on the globe with the exception of Antarctica. We are currently raising funds to send coach Carlos to the sub continent to coach a group of emperor penguins.

Each year the convention draws more than 10,000 attendees over five days for live field demonstration and lecture session, networking socials, coaching diplomas and more. This year's convention features a world class guest list of hosts and presenters. The likes of Pelé, Landon Donovan, DeMarcus Beasley, FC Barcelona coaching staff, and Sir Alex Ferguson to name a few.

Our gentleman will be working with professional coaches, assisting them as live mannequins as they show other coaches how to run a training session or manage in game situations. What's significant about this opportunity is the chance for a spotlight to be shined on urban soccer here in our city and region. Often overlooked as unorganized or unstructured, spectators will get a chance to see first hand the talent that lies within our neighborhoods.

Take a look below at an example of a session run by Ian Barker, Director of Coaching Education, at last year's convention.
