In 2017, the Kensington Soccer Club sent coaches to the McVeigh Park & Recreation Center, to help get more kids involved in soccer through the U.S. Soccer Foundation's Soccer for Success program. This January, in partnership with McVeigh, we entered Under 11 and Under 12 Boys teams in the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Indoor Soccer League, with many of the players coming from the ongoing McVeigh after-school program.  (Pictured above: this week's U11 Boys game at McVeigh - they won!)

Thanks to coach Nagee Morrison (left), coach Jykeem Hamilton, and the McVeigh Rec Center staff, for their commitment to the children and the community! We hope this becomes a model for many recreation centers, as we continue to build youth soccer in Philadelphia.

Thanks also to our supporters and partners including Up2Us Sports, U.S. Soccer Foundation, JT Dorsey Foundation, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, and Councilwoman María Quiñones-Sánchez.
